Well, our office is closed thanks to snow and ice accumulation, so here I sit working from home and sipping on coffee while planning marketing campaigns. In other words, I get to work in my jammies with a puppy in my lap. Not a bad deal, if you ask me!
Unfortunately, with all this crazy weather, it's been hard to get my butt in gear and walk the four blocks to our mailbox so I can ship out custom orders - including the headband pictured above. I'm not sure what our neighbors are thinking, but whoever lives in the house by our post office box needs to learn how to shovel and salt - I feel like I'm taking my life in my hands every time I venture over there to ship a package. Yeah, it hasn't been fun.
But anyway, I finished crocheting this headband over the weekend and I absolutely love it. I used Caron Simply Soft in red. You know, it's always great to have and use the more expensive, boutique yarns that can be purchased, but I always go back to Caron. There's just something about how soft it is and how defined the stitches are that makes it my go-to.
The pattern I used was my very own Easy and Pretty Headband with Button. I haven't had a chance to make one of these recently, but there's suddenly renewed interest in both the pattern and finished items, so I hope you'll check it out - especially since there may be a minor error in the pattern and I'd love to hear if you're experiencing the same problem.
Okay - back to work! My coffee's half gone and my Puffins have disappeared, so I suppose that means "it's time". Hubby had a delay today, so he still has to go in - I've heard rumors that the roads in some of the downtown areas are fine, and I certainly hope that's true for his sake!
